Immerse Yourself in the serene beauty of the World's Northernmost Fishing Village: Experience the captivating remoteness of Skarsvåg as we take you on a guided walk through the picturesque village. Discover the local way of life by visiting the fish factory, witnessing the fishermen's daily routines, and if luck is on our side, catching a glimpse of fishing boats unloading their daily catches. Our knowledgeable guide will regale you with fascinating tales of this Nordic community, heavily reliant on fishing and tourism.

During our visit, you'll have the opportunity to learn the traditional methods of fish preparation and indulge in the flavors of the Arctic as we treat you to the taste of our delicious dried stockfish. Get up close and personal with the awe-inspiring live king crabs in our outdoor aquarium. Hold these magnificent creatures, capture memorable photos, and gain a deeper understanding of their remarkable existence.

Next, we'll make our way to the North Cape Experience Center, where you will have the opportunity to visit our captivating photo gallery by award-winning photographer Frits Solvang, which showcases Skarsvåg throughout the 20th century, along with displays of traditional fishing artifacts used by the local fishermen.

Indulge in an authentic Arctic experience as we invite you into our traditional Lavvo or cozy restaurant, where you will be served a selection of traditional local arctic dishes such as king crab, reindeer, caviar, and salmon (based on the season).

Afterward, enjoy some leisure time to explore the charming village of Skarsvåg at your own pace. Observe the captivating king crabs, marvel at the vibrant and colorful houses, and perhaps catch sight of roaming reindeer herds or witness fishing boats in action. Alternatively, savor a complimentary warm drink in our tourist center, surrounded by handcrafted artifacts and local souvenirs.
