Come to Skarsvag, worlds northernmost fishing village, for the adventure of a lifetime out at sea. If you need a pickup from Honningsvåg, contact us after booking and we help you make the arrangements.

We kit you up with a thermos-suit and life vests for the journey. By boat we will travel along fjords, islands and rugged arctic scenery. The journey takes us through the spectacular Risfjord with magnificent mountain views and around the famous North Cape, looking even more majestic from the open ocean.

On the way we will pass by beautiful historical highlights and rough arctic nature that has been shaped by the extreme climate for centuries. We will be spotting wildlife, starting in the beautiful fjords, passing the islands where seals live, the mountains where eagles nest, and the open ocean where dolphins and whales are hunting and puffins, cormorants and many more birds are catching their fish between the waves. The north cape is a great place for whales and dolphins to gather, as they usually hunt in the summer season around the North cape. We can never guarantee their appearance but our general spotting-success is high!

We will also pass by Hornvika, the original entrance to the North Cape. Here we will teach you all about how the king crab became a big part of Norway’s successful fishing industry, while we pull up our catch of the day. We might see other fishermen at work, pulling up their catch, as we go find the flags in the ocean that mark the spot of the fishing areas where we have our pods and see if we have caught any king crab. Learn all about the goldmine of Norway as we hopefully catch a few of these massive ocean monsters and you will be able to hold them.

Upon return to the shore, you will meet our living king crabs in our king crab aquarium.. You will get to hold them and take pictures of the experience. Hold these massive monsterly crabs and learn all about their lifestyle. It is also possible to order fresh king crab or other seafoods in our restaurant.

In the restaurant we are very fortunate to display the photo gallery by award-winner Frits Solvang - that captured the town of Skarsvåg in the 20th century. The gallery also includes display of old traditional fishing artifacts used by the local fishermen.

Enjoy a free coffee or tea upon return as you  can relax in our cosy restaurant with a beautiful oceanview, or enjoy a walk around Skarsvåg village with its colourful houses. If transport is arranged, we will bring you back to Honningsvag on the agreed time, giving you plentiful time to walk around a little or enjoy your coffee or tea after the safari.
